After a hard day’s work I go home burned out and stressed. I should not bring home the stresses from work but whatever I do it always haunt me. I don’t want to ruin my spare time for my only family, my 12 year old son. Before I got promoted we always have fun after my work. We talk about a lot of things at school and even though I haven’t seen all of his classmates I still know their names and faces because tells me everything and points them to me in their class directory. We watch movies together, answer his homework together, and even cook dinner together, but after the promotion everything has changed.

It seem I’m too stressed to listen to him, no time for movies because my body is screaming for bed already, no more cooking together since I have to buy from fast-foods anymore. One day I realized that I need to bring back those moments together with my kid. To make it up for him I bought him a PSP for his birthday. He was jumping like a wild horse when he opened the box. I also bought the Angry Birds game for his PSP. One time he taught me how to play the game and it turned out to be very addicting! Since then we restored our bonding moments together by playing the game. After work I always look forward to finish a level together with my son.

One thing I learned from the Angry Birds game was patience. Patience is not merely the ability to wait, but the ability to wait with the right attitude. At first when I was playing the game I would just fire at those poor kamikaze birds without even thinking or considering my shots and it resulted to wasted birds or repeat levels. Until the difficult levels came that I have to plan my attacks. I learned to wait and consider first what bird I am going to use to maximize their abilities to prevent wasted shots and also to increase my chances of sweet success. I also learned to stop before launching my kamikazes for the attack. I will analyse first the possible trajectory or the bird and also consider the area that will be damaged for that attack. Critical timing is also needed to maximize the ability of the bird, especially with the birds that needs to be detonated by control. I can say that my gaming strategy is a mixture of patience, good sense of trajectory, and a good control for timing. Since then I levelled up my gaming experience and enjoyed it more.
